The SPACE (Sunset Park Area Assets and Community Events) is an interactive tool designed to help residents of neighborhoods in and around Sunset Park to connect with activities, resources, and events in their local communities. It consists of a community asset map, indicating locations, language spoken, and hours of public, social, educational, and healthcare services and programming, along with an events calendar that displays upcoming public events catering to a range of age groups and activities.
The SPACE was developed as a collaborative initiative of the Sunset Park Community Coalition and other community-based groups in and around Sunset Park. It is managed by the Together Growing Strong program at NYU Langone Health and it is supported with philanthropic funds.
